3 Reasons Why You Should Take Alfalfa

The Alfalfa plant has the longest root of any plant and thus absorbs and contains many trace minerals important for our health. These trace minerals are difficult to get from the other foods we eat. 
 
Here are 3 reasons why this is important and why I think everyone should take 
Shaklee’s Alfalfa tablets every day.
 
1. Digestive Enzymes

Have you ever felt “bloated” after eating a steak or burger? Or have you ever had acid indigestion after eating certain foods? As we age our stomach slows down on producing digestive enzymes, so it becomes important to provide foods with          digestive enzymes like Alfalfa.
 
2. Body Odor
Alfalfa is a green plant and contains “chlorophyll” …this has been known to help with regulating bad breath and body odor.

 
3. Reduce Inflammation.
Alfalfa tabs acts as a natural diuretic for those who tend to “hold water.” Some people have found trace minerals helpful to reduce arthritis pain by reducing inflammation around the joints.                                                                                                          
 I am not familiar with any recipes that would include Alfalfa, so getting this plant in a supplement form is most likely the best option.  Shaklee provides a high-quality

 Here is a suggestion as to how many you should take.
The bottle says to take 10 a day. I know of some people who take 40. I take a minimum of 5 a day at one time and sometimes twice if I feel achy. A good way to start is to take 2 at each meal and then find your comfort and need level.  
 
The tablets are easily crushed, so you can add the powder to your smoothie, salad, or make it as a tea if you don’t care for swallowing the tablets. I also find it easier to swallow tablets with room temperature water.
